WHY OUR WORK MATTERS

PSG recognizes that in minority communities, there are fewer opportunities for economic success and long-term professional growth. While the entrepreneurial spirit is as strong within these communities as anywhere else, access to training and development is very limited.

This hurts the local economy and puts an unnecessary burden on schools, churches and the organizations invested in neighborhood development. That’s why PSG is committed to recruiting, training and promoting a qualified minority workforce.

PSG believes that we cannot expect to change communities and improve corporate culture without utilizing our greatest asset – people. And we are a business that does just that. We maximize ROI in people – except we call it “building on equity.”

Through construction management and consulting services, our goal is to forge a long-term economic relationship between mainstream businesses and the neighborhoods in which they operate – providing a model for community economic development on a street-by-street level.

Thus, we apply a multi-dimensional business strategy that integrates four key dynamics:

1. a minority/majority partnership,
2. a diverse workforce,
3. a leadership curriculum and mentor program, and
4. a fundamental emphasis on sustainability.

We bring this unique strategy into the real world where our team serves the needs of PSG’s clients, including developers, agency directors, building owners and corporate executives in Chattanooga and throughout the region – building equity for our clients, our workforce and their communities.
